I recommend a sucker-punch in front of an officer who outranks him.

I can give you a "Dressing down" in private for that, and he'll be... well, he won't be unlikely to try to kill you, but he'll look bad if he does.

It's not as though he's going to like you anyway, so you may as well get the best bang for your buck.
